“”Hold your hands together in front of you,” he orders as he peels the towel off me and throws it on the floor. I do as he asks, and he binds my wrists together with his tie, knotting it firmly. … “Oh, Anastasia, what shall I do to you?” he whispers as he lowers me onto the bed, lying beside me and raising my hands above my head. … Collapsing on top of me, I feel his full weight forcing me into the mattress. I pull my tied hands over his neck and hold him the best I can. I know in that moment I would do anything for this man. I am his. ”
This is an excerpt from the first book of three…”Fifty Shades of Grey” written by British author E. L. James. The reviews range from good to bad. Libraries are pulling the book from their shelves. The erotic language of Miss. Anastasia and Mr. Grey has taken women into an orgasmic frenzy! Though media claims the trilogy is poorly written, yet the series has become the most popular book sold!
As I continue to hear such a ruckus, I felt I needed to find out for myself. I ventured out to find the controversal book. I started at Walmart. That was a stupid mistake. They never even had it on the shelves. That’s not the first time that has happened to me there. Next I traveled to Target. Which is where I heard people have bought the book. To my disapointment…Sold out. I tried Borders books only to find out they closed down. NOOOO….Why is this happening? Finally going to Barnes N Nobel and they had three left. I clutched onto the book in hopes nobody would be prying it from my hands. Absolutely not putting this book down in public!
And there it is. The talk of the world is sitting on my table. As I turn page by page, I notice the storyline is actually easy to read. Very descriptive and understandable. I think a lot of popularity comes from curiousity. And whether or not they think the book is good, they are still going to continue reading it to get to the parts that the media keeps talking about.
Seeing as how I am more of a movie person, I have to add, Hollywood has intentions on making a movie out of “Fifty Shades of Grey” And guess who they are thinking about considering for the role of Mr. Grey…The one, the only, Ryan Gosling. That would be just great
